Tag Archive: Tommy Trash

As given an exclusive first play by Steve Angello at Escape From Wonderland this past weekend, the second release from Skrillex’s newly launched Owsla label gets itself an ultimate electro treatment from the man of the moment – Tommy Trash. Borrowing brilliantly from Shave It’s asper headmark sound, Zedd’s hottest record to date sees an aftershave alteration emerge from the now London based protagonist of stodgy electro house. Having pioneered a huge wave of warped and brutal offerings to go viral in the scene previously dominated by big room synths, many electro-house heads are to thank Trash, if they not already have, for pulling out champions like The End, Future Folk and a widespread bundle of hit remixes on Carry Me Home, Edge Of The Earth, One Last Ride and Alive.

The original’s occasional reminiscence to the soundtracks in computer and TV games was taken seriously in consideration by the Australia-bred Thomas Olsen whom managed to turn it into one of the leading elements in this first remix out of three to be revealed. It’s due out November 8th along with remixes from Kaskade and 501, have a listen!

With a horde of remixes in the pipeline, Tommy Trash previews a new single making, fresh off the Future Folk appearance on Musical Freedom. Having witnessed a headway of the likes which few have seen, the now London stationed DJ and producer is by the day planting his name firmer after having gloriously pioneered the dirty electro-house sounds over the past year. Leaving a widely acknowledged pallette of remixes on Carry Me Home, After, Edge Of The Earth, One Last Ride and  Alive behind to pursue his prominent single outlet to date, the icon of Australian heritage sets sails towards the tech-intented record imprint of Chris Lake, Rising Music. Also following up The End, Blair Bitch Project and Big Fucking House, Monkey See Monkey Do is the next single in line to propel his continued assault on electronic dance music.

Going from daintily tumbling tones into a creative take on his else characteristicly known hard-hitting drops, a new array of distorted electro sounds in conjunction with progressive kicks and sturdy baselines is upon us. It’s set for release on November 4th, have a listen!

Release: Tommy Trash – Future Folk [Musical Freedom]

With support from none other than Tiesto and the Swedish House Mafia guys, Tommy Trash has really made an impact on the EDM scene in the past year with his own individual and distinctive sound. After his huge hit ‘The End’ which has been a staple in almost every DJ’s set over the summer he returns with a brand new track that features his distinctive melodic progressive breaks and an equally infectious electro drop that will be sure to drive dancefloor’s wild all over the world. Out now on Tiesto’s own Musical Freedom label and available from beatport. Enjoy!
