Avicii breathes new air and power into the continued ascension of his most prominent anthem to date – Levels. Named the next ”Bromance” as early as late 2010 after making its debut and prime-time appearance in the Swedish prodigy’s Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1, but frankly, his break-through single doesn’t even come close to competing with the gem that has been crowned by the likes of an everlasting string of top-class DJ’s and even been acknowledged as an essential ”life-safer” lately. Despite the fact that many producers consider a leak of a tune bad, our fellow tunesmith based out of Stockholm reckoned otherwise after witnessing his live set-adapted mash-up with the almighty vocals of Etta James’ ‘Something’s Got A Hold On’ go viral in cyberspace to be played by the likes of literally all major and minor DJ’s across the globe and line up an overawing 16 million plays on YouTube.

Clearly driven by the rapturing and now world renowned synth leads which, even though they may not feature any shape or form of vocals, will catch you crooning the chord progression of complete perfection in no-time. Having had a year, jam packed with an abundance of success and fame, such acclaimed releases as Fade Into Darkness, Sunshine, Sweet Dreams, Blessed and the remix on Drowning, the unstoppable march of Levels continues as it at last sees its official release through Avicii’s recently launched sublabel of Ministry Of Sound,LE7ELS, backed by Universal Music. And despite its widely known leak, this year’s unquestionable hit single is certain to storm the global charts as of now, fuelled by a surpassing melody, distinct euphoria and an outstanding ability of getting people to wanna move.

The Amsterdam duo that is NO_ID returns to Diffused Music to avail the opportunity of following up April’s Sex Sells EP, which has been seeing persistent playlistings from Sander van Doorn and others. Headlined by a rather distinguished edit on behalf of label honcho Michael Woods himself, How R U Feeling Right Now is the next hit off the Diffused imprint to follow in the footmarks of such tremendous releases as Bullet, Conductor and No Access. Also coming off the pair’s Summer contender of 2011 – Let It Out – an array of chunky beats, a looped vocal enacting the making’s title gracefully and servile piano chords make up the newest single out from NO_ID.

Led by the previously released Turn It Down and Eyes singles, Kaskade releases his seventh artist album. Unfolding a bunch of new collaborations and sounds, including those that have fuelled the American DJ and producer’s strike into progressive house to be voted the best DJ of America. Debuting his first album in 2003, it was not until the indenture with Ultra Records in 2006 that the rise of Kaskade truly took off, leading him into a placing amongst modern-day’s most highly-rated DJ’s in terms of electronic dance music. Although last year’s ”Dynasty” album was arguably his most  ground-breaking to date, ”Fire & Ice” is already seeing immensely successful charting placings acceded by the aforementioned single releases of 2011. Brilliantly divided into two discs – one for the hottest of club sounds and one for alternate, downtempo ICE mixes on each and everyone of the 10 singles featured – his 2011 album is already exceling previous year’s triumphs with a handful creative tenderings.

Boasting a craft unlike what people may expect out of a jointed making from the divine Kaskade and Skrillex,Lick It debunks an instantly memorable blend of the 70’s most ravishing disco sounds and wobbling, dubstep-influenced chords to form a momentous contribution to the evolution of electronic dance music and the more experimental records off the new double-album.

Filled with a soulful and utmostly emotional chord progression, tipped with the silky voice of Becky Jean Williams from Late Night Alumni, the Illionois-raised Ryan Raddon teams up with Germany’s probably most underrated duo, Inpetto, for the characteristic How Long.

Also armed with blistering chords in conjunction with Rebecca & Fiona’s glorious vocals to make up Turn It Down, the amazingly feel-good progressive piece with Mindy Gledhill that is Eyes and a bunch of collaborations with Dada LifeSkylar GreyHaley and more, the seventh artist album out from Kaskade is finally released.

Fairly reminiscent to Reder 8’s Amazing single, Romeo Blanco releases a playful and effing gorgeous piece as his second single on Funkerman and Fedde Le Grand’s Flamingo Recordings. Although his name and accomplishments may not be as well acknowledged as the ancient Hadrian’s wall, the Antwerp-raised Blanco has surely proven to be as talented. As his production knack and creativeness come together yet again for his third ever single record, named Universal Love, the impact caused on behalf of Belgium resident continues to thrive with this harmonic effort currently spearing the thick walls of dance music aristocracy. With light and snug progressive chords making up the break-down of Flamingo’s newest acquisition to be replaced with impelling kicks and high-pitched tones, the record imprint of Funkerman and Fedde Le Grand returns from Deniz Koyu’s Hertz single for this sweet release.

Kicking off the year of 2011 with the release of his take on Coming Home that was, by many, elected as 2011’s Miami anthem, Dirty South has come to gracefully flaunt throughout the year along with the releases of his immense remixes on Airsteala and Skylar Grey’s Invisible as well as letting out his and Thomas Gold’s ground-breaking challenger of the tune of this year – Alive.
